Rocket Into Scouting
The purpose of this initiative, launched in 2015, was to plan and execute a coordinated council-wide new youth sign-up night to occur in September at every elementary school in the Cradle of Liberty Council, primarily targeted at Cub Scout-age boys.
After several years of membership decline and a deliberate reduction in ScoutReach membership, Rocket Into Scouting represented the first step in transitioning from a professionally-driven recruitment model to a more cooperative, volunteer-led strategy.
